Another Longgggg Weekend :D

Yup, last weekend would be my third longggggg weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Woohooo. I wish working days would stay like this forever, Four Days A Week. Hahaha.

This time, on Friday, I went to Rawang to visit my friend who's also my college-uni-office-mate and her lovely new born daughter. Lebat rambutnya and what a cute mouth she has :D
Later, I stop by at my other friend house and we went shopping afterwards and boy am I happy when she treated me a nice Prosperity Burger. Yummmm. Thanks dear, nanti-nanti leh belanja lagi ek. Hihi.

Saturday, I went to my friend's house for a cukur jambul and akikah for her daughter. There I met one of my postgrad masa kat uni dulu with her family. Teringat balik time makan-makan at her house with all the delicious food she cook for us. Sedapppp sangat. She is an excellent cook and she loves to try new recipe and what do you know, always menjadi! :D And the memory leads to another memories like Pot Luck and BBQ. Guys, nak tak if one day kita buat pot luck kat mana2? Jom arr, jom arr. It would be sooo much fun!

Eh, lupa pulak. Let's continue. Afterwards, I went to Pizza Hut after we managed to kidnap my niece from her parents. Haha. Actually, me, my sister's sister in law and her parents doing a favour to take care of their cute daughter while they're going for a date. So, kitorang pun gi lah jalan. Eating Pizza, bought some sweet cupcakes, pusing-pusing university. When we reached home, soon her parents pun balik.

On Sunday, me, along and her husband plus his friend went to watch a movie. Alvin and The Chipmunks. Soooooooo Cuteeeee...Hehe.

Suddenly teringat balik pasal Pot Luck and tetiba "one day" seems like lamanyaaaaaa..Haha....

Balik Kampung Ho Ho Ho Balik Kampung...

Last weekend me, my sis, my brother in law n his friend plus my cheeky niece balik kampung by car. Most of my friends know that I rarely balik kampung using the road. So this time, since balik kampung ramai2, I don't really mind travel together using the highway. A normal travel hours to reach kampung would be around 6 hours. Sometimes, to those yang fast driver tu, they can make it in 4 to 5 hours time. Our journey went smooth at first, a bit slow here and there (because of the shower and small accidents) but still okay. About 45 minutes away from our destination, suddenly we found a long que ahead. Okay, this gonna be bad, but seriously I never thought it's gonna be that bad. There's no movement at all for about 1 hour plus. According to one akak (met her at R&R nearby while waiting for the car to move - I have to walk about 500m while the kakak around 1km) the waiting is almost 2 hours now. Rumors said there's an accident involving a big lorry carrying rice. So to clean up the mess, itu yang lama kena tunggu. So after two long hours of waiting, the cars finally start moving. Sampai kampung all together took about 9 hours. What a longgggg journey...

Malam tu, we did nothing but rest. The next morning, me, along, my brother, ayah, my niece n grandma went to a lake near my house. We drove a buggy around the lake. Sooo nice the scenary and the wind blowing sampai my niece boleh tertido. Later, we have roti arab for our breakfast. Around noon, we went to a duty free shop and bought some chocolates, tudung, shoes etc. Later that night, we're having kfc while watching 2012 using projector in the living room. Kinda mini cinema you can say. It was funnn!!

Early morning, we're thinking of going to the lake again. But since we have to pack and all, we make a move back at around 10am. We arrived at 3pm and went straight to a shopping mall instead. Bought a swimming attire for the little girl and having lunch at Friday's.

That night, me continue reading sidney sheldon's latest book (written by Tilly Bagshawe) Mistress of the Game for a short while before heading to bed for a good night rest. Have to prepare mentally n physically for the next day. Working Day..huhu..(susahnya nak tido when your mind keep wandering about the work lah, teambuilding lah...solution: get it settled fast!). I wish!!!

All in all, Balik Kampung BEST walaupun sekejap jer... :D

Weekends

Last two weekends, I went to my friend's wedding with one. Ramai kengkawan uni n collegue attend the wedding. The bride and the bridegroom were very beautiful that day. I like the bride nya appearance that day, simple yet soooo sweeeeett..Cantik sangat. The make up pun not too tebal. Just nice make her glowing as ever. After the wedding we went straight back home.

Last Saturday, me and my friend having breakfast at a restaurant nearby. Later, we went to a new mall to checkout a movie but since the movie will end later than 1pm, we decided to go to another mall for bowling. My friend has to pick up lil' sis at her work at 1pm and we're going to have lunch together. So when we arrived at the other mall and found out that the bowling centre was closed for few days for tournament, we made a decision to watch a movie to kill time. We picked New Moon and rename it as "Half Moon" since we only watched it half way. I think up until the part Bella ran to her dad after she saw the warewolves in the middle of the jungle.

Then the three of us have Arab Cuisine as our lunch. The same restaurant that we had for university reunion for buka puasa about two/three years ago. The portion was quite "too much" for us we had to tapau. Later we went to another mall for our Zuhur prayer before I headed back home.

On Sunday, there's a BBQ at my friend's house with friends and family. At first, I planned to go with my highschool friend since she lived near my house. Since she can't make it, I went there alone. Help a bit with preparing the salad and cutting some fruits. We have chicken, sausages, meehoon, krispy creme, corn etc. Yummie :). The BBQ does bring back memories masa zaman study kat uni dulu. They play tv games afterwards but since I have to get up early for work tomorrow, didn't stay for the games and went straight back home.

Today: Keje macam biasa. Huhu…Can't wait for the coming weekend. Balik kampung with my sis, brother in law and my niece i.e. three days to go…..

Nothing much to update

As given away by the title, there's nothing much to update really. Hari Raya Aidiladha as usual, we went to Perlis to celebrate. But most of the time (five days holiday) play bowling with my brother n ayah plus eating out (fast food..*sigh*). We're having a good time n my brother should feel even more since he got his netbook that he wanted at PC Fair that we went.

Back to work on Monday and received a great news. My friend's having a baby girl. Went to visit her during lunch break with officemate. Sooo cute. Lebat sungguh rambutnya. Hehe. Ikut rupa mama and ayahnya. But more to ayah I guess. Couldn't tell since baby tend to change her features day by day. Really happy for them. Alhamdulillah.

Today's my brother in law birthday. So last night (11pm-early eh)we celebrate with a cake and some presents. Not from me I'm afraid. Huhu. Tak sempat beli. Weekend nanti ye InsyaAllah. Looking forward for this coming weekend.....

Training & HaRi RaYa AiDiLaDhA

Last week (19th & 20th November 09) I went for a training at SHRDC on "De Bono's Six Thinking Hats". Quite kewl actually. It's about the idea of Parallel Thinking instead of using arguments for decision to be made. For example, last time in our meeting, when someone says something i.e. his idea, there's always someone who would say "no, we can't do that coz its....". So De Bono came out with an idea for less argument yet the maximum result will be achieved by using the methods of six thinking hats. They are:
a) Blue hat - For controlling in setting focus (normally the
chairperson of a meeting)
b) White hat - Information shared
c) Yellow hat - Advantages and its reasons
d) Black hat - Problems and its reasons
e) Red hat - Intuition/Feelings/Emotions
f) Green hat - Ideas
So, in a meeting at a time, only one hat should be used by everyone so that no necesary argument will take place and the meeting could be finished earlier with everyone consents.

There also a Thinking Game in the session that I like. It goes like this:
There are eight people to cross a river using a raft:-
*One Police
*One Prisoner
*A Mother
*A Father
*Two Sons
*Two Daughter
There are conditions too:-
i) Maximum no. of person allowed at a time on the raft is TWO
ii) Only POLICE or A PARENT can OPERATE the raft
iii) MOTHER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with SON/S
iv) FATHER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with DAUGHTER/S
v) PRISONER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with ANY OF FAMILY MEMBERS
So, what is the sequences/arrangements that enable all the eights to cross the river. Best kan the game? Any one would like to guess? ;)

Another two days dah nak raya. I would like to wish you all Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha. Maaf Zahir Batin. Kalau masih ada yang ingin membuat korban but don't know how and where to go, maybe you would like to check out www.ezqurban.org. They will close the application on 27th (Aidiladha) itself, so we have another two days to participate (via online form on their website). Let's grab the chance guys =)

I have applied for a leave tomorrow. On Thursday, we already been given a force leave. So, altogether it would be five days holiday. Yeay! Hehe. But later sure pening with all the works yang setia menanti..Woohooo...not :(

Esok would take a cab to the airport very early in the morning with ayah. Ayah's flight is at 7am. While mine is at 3pm. There'll be 8 hours for me to spare. Travel between airports plus reading a book plus eat plus shopping n browsing, I think I'll be fine. Hopefully :)

Okies, catch u guys later when I'm back from the long holidays. SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILADHA. Maaf dan halal dipinta, zahir dan batin.

I'm-Really-Happy-But.......

About the interview, it's actually a scholarship to support me pursue my Masters (Msc). I knew it's a tough one to get (since the sponsor always mention about to find a great leadership, yada, yada) and I just want to try my luck. And actually I didn't expect to be included in "short listed" list in the first place. To pass stage one and experienced the memorable second stage is a bonus indeed. Alhamdulillah. As to my boss, hehe, I understand his feelings why he was so upset if I passed. Coz just recently his staff has resigned and I'm replacing him. Plus his other staff has been transferred to other unit. So, he just started to coach me the SOP and all, and yet he found out he was about to lose another staff. Hehe..So can't blame him fully to feel that relief, right :D . Anyway, I take it as a sign for me to focus on my new task, my Modal Insan and my assisgnment to coordinate a TeamBuilding for my department. That's a lot of commitment. InsyaAllah, I will do my best to carry out all the responsibilities.

I am now very happy with something's going on in my life but it's hard to feel completely happy if you know there's a misery on the other hand. Plus I am not certain whether this happiness will turn out something even greater joy at the end or just a normal happiness that come and go in our life. A drop by just to make our life brighter even if it's only for a while. But I do pray to Allah to make the happiness last forever. With a Happy Ending. Ameen...

Belum Rezeki...

Last week, boss tanya "How's the result?"
Memula tu agak confuse..result ape ye...then dia cakap "Alaaa..yang interview tu lah.."
I said that most probably tak dapt..Then, he urge me to call to confirm..So I did..

According to the one yang answering the phone, the third stage was actually been conducted last week. So, for those yang tak dapat invitation, meaning they automatically been eliminated for the scholarship..I told my boss the news. Yhen he asked again "U call direct ke or call kawan u?"..I said, "Confirm, I called the company directly"..Then my boss said "Alhamdulillah"..Sabar je la...Dia happy jer when he knew yang I didn't get the scholarship...Well...that's ok..Not my call..Belum rezeki lah tu..Mungkin kat tempat lain...Bak kata sorang tu "Belum ada rezeki tu. Your time will come InsyaAllah. Don't be bogged down with it too much ok." Okay...Thank you ye...Yang penting, never give up, right :D

Continuation from previous entry. I have made a big decision last three weeks. Bismilahitawakkaltua'lallah...

Update...

"Bila ko nak update blog ni?"..hehe..Sorry sesangat ek kengkawan sekalian..
Agak ke-busy-an diriku ini.. :)
Okay, setelah abis attending the open houses and weddings, habis pun Syawal sebulan..dan nak masuk Raya Haji pun, dengan kecekalan yang ada, tabah jua daku mengupdate blog ini...haha..ape yg den merepek ni pun tak sure..

Okies..buat pengetahuan semua, baru2 ini I went to an interview for a scholarship..Actually for the second stage..First stage is answering 5 papers on IQ test..Alhamdulillah lepas...
But the second stage ni, agak tough sikit..Ala2 "The Apprentice"..There're 29 of us..So, about six groups where some have 5 members and some four...We were given one hour task as a consultant to advice a private college whether to open a short course on managing financial issue to public. The decision should base on a survey..Imagine, in one hour time you have to create questionnaires, find respondents, collect data, analysed, tabulate and come out with a decision. Our group managed to interview 20 person..Right after the activity was completed, instead of presenting the findings, we were to gather in two groups and being interviewed by two people. In one hour time, (about 8 of us) each of us has been questioned for four to five times...Then, back to our table, in 15 minutes, we have to write who in our team should be expelled and why. Pening jugak nak answer..If I wrote no one, then I would not answering the question, wouldn't I?
So, nak tak nak, I wrote a name and the reason why...Afterwards, there's an interview session on one to two...me and two interviewers..I think it's more like background checking...Casual but a bit tense since they liked to provoke u...

After we had our lunch which by the way exclusive (sempat jumpa my old college mates there..apparently they have kursus kat situ), time for presentation..Then, in 20 minutes we were asked to write what action to be taken for your next strategy to improvise ur survey...Later i.e. the final activity which by the way made at least two person to cry...come the group interview..My group (four of us) has been interviewed by three panels...They asked directly to each of us who that we think should be eliminated in this team and why...If we were not to mention any name, they scold us and said that we were not answering the question and keep pressuring us..The first time they asked the question is to a lady sat on my right. She mentioned my name..then they skip me and ask a lady on my left. She said the name of the guy that was on her left..And the guy pulak mentioned the lady yang said my name tadi...Then when finally the question were asked to me, I answered the lady on my right (yup, the one yg mention my name)...Pastu, bila dah keluar, everyone in my group seems okay and all of us agree -no heart feelings...Now, I'm waiting for the result..Honestly rasanya mcm agak susah..but I think the experience that count...Pasni, if lepas, there're still two more stages...susah betul kan..

Okay, dah habis update on career/study issue.. Now on other update...I'm in a big dilemma...very big...so big that sometimes make me wonder why I put myself in that dilemma in the first place..the answer is that I want to clarify things so that I won't regret in the future for the rest of my life....Luckily I have supports in facing this matter...Thank you guys for your supportings...Anything, I will update later...Pray for me kay...Ameen...

Raya! Raya! Raya! Part II

It's malam raya. Ummi wouldn't make any main dishes until the date for raya is certain. So, that night, Ummi made some rendang ayam and prepare for meehoon soup for early in the morning tomorrow.

Raya Morning. With a new cloth (actually it's my big sister's Jubah that she never wear), me and family went to Masjid for Solat Hari Raya (after having a taste of rendang ayam of course :)). Right after that, we pay a visit to kubur. Pray for Mama, Atuk, Pak Su and Tok Nyang. And went straight back home. Since Along and her family haven't arrived yet, we did salam raya between us first. Later, we went to our neighbours and have delicious meals. One house served Nasi Daging, another house served Lontong. There also Rendang Negeri Sembilan and ours with Meehoon Soup. What a way to put on weight. *Wink2*

We went to Ummi's hometown later that evening. Have some ketupat pulut with gulai daging. Sedap...Pastu, malam sikit, kitorg pun balik.

Second day raya. Wait for Along n her family to arrived. Since they said it might be late evening, I went to my friend's open house. Have some laksa. Yummy.. Then around 7.15pm, they arrived. Ayah and Ummi very exicited to play with their grandaughter :)..Sooo cute...

Third and Forth day Raya, we went to Ummi's hometown again and I followed Along to her school reunion. On the Fifth Raya, we all set to go back home. On the way, my brother in law made a suggestion to drop by to his hometown first before heading straight home. We all agreed since it's not until Monday that we have to go to work again. Urghh...So, at his hometown, we ordered Pizza. Burp...

The next Morning (Sixth Day), her mother cooked us Lontong for branch and siap tapau lagi bekalkan untuk kitorg kat rumah...Thanks Ibu... :)...So that afternoon, we went back home...Letih letih but best sangat....Perut pun setuju..hehe

Today, seventh day Raya, we all decided to have something different. So, we all end up to a mall to have western food instead...Put a rest to rndang and ketupat for a while...Not that while actually..Coz I heard there's an open house tonight at our neighbour's..So, tummy, here we go again :)

Raya! Raya! Raya! Part I

Alhamdulillah, after 29 hari berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan 1430H yang mulia, 1 Syawal pun menjelma. As for me, I have applied for a leave on Friday i.e. two days before raya. Yelah, nak balik kampung kemas2 rumah semua, takkan nak balik one day before raya kan..One more thing, saje nak merasa terawih ngan family kat masjid..At least dapat jugak one time g terawih sama2...

So, berbalik pada hari Jumaat tu, seawal 4am, me n my little brother bangun siap2. Pastu berbekalkan domino's pizza yg kitorg order online malam tadi, kitorg pun sahur. Around 5am, after making sure that all the doors and windows are nicely sealed, kitorg pun berangkat ke airport. Flight around 7.15am. So, we're supposed to land at our hometown around 8.15am or 8.30am at most. But unfortunately, by the the time our flight reach the destination, somehow, the thick fog made the landing procedure in a difficult position. After a few attemps, the pilot announced that he will make a landing at the nearest airport with clearer view i.e. in other state. We have to wait for about one hour before we flew back to our original destination. We reached home around 10.30am. Alhamdulillah.

Once we put our luggages down, me n ayah went to a supermarket to buy some ingredients for kuih raya the making...I managed to bake two types of kuih raya afterwards. Brownies square n chocolate chip cookies. The brownies square have a story behind it. U guys know right the basic ingredients and steps to bake a cookie? Butter, sugar, eggs always comes first. But for my brownies squares, I sensed something wrong with my dough only when I added the flour. The dough is tougher than usual. It's hard to stir and then I realised. Opppsy...there's still four eggs on the table untouchable. Ayak! It's a waste to throw away the mixture. So, I came up with an idea. Beating all four eggs in a bowl and added the earlier mixtire bit by bit until all set and well combined. Pour the mixture in a tray, baked it. Wallaaahhh!!! Tadaaa!!! It's done perfectly without anyone notice any difference.. :) As for the choc chip cookies, it's overcooked and obviously everyone can see that..huhu..

Later that evening, while ayah n ummi went to bazaar Ramadhan to buy something for Iftar, I made cucur bawang (try to find anchovies but couldn't find one). We have our Iftar together and after Maghrib, we all went to Masjid for Solat Terawih.

The next day, I made kanji a.k.a bubur lambuk a.k.a porridge with sambal telur and fried some nuggets. After Solat Maghrib, we wait for the announcement "...saya mengisytiharkan, tarikh hari raya puasa 1430H jatuh pada 20hb September 2009 iaitu pada hari Ahad....." Thus, yesterday was our last Terawih for this year. Couldn't wait for next year..Insyaallah..

So, what's next?...Raya Time!!!

Just Wondering....

  • Falling in love always makes me wonder.
  • Is he the one? Also makes we wonder.
  • I have come to a situation when it is so close to chase away all the wonders, then suddenly something came up....and my heart breaks into million pieces..and hurt so much....
  • I made a decision there and then and I know that I am not purely honest of making up my mind at the time (well, since I am not emotionally stabil..but pretend to be one).
  • Lately, I learn to accept and learn to open up my mind more and more.
  • Making friends and all.
  • Learn to forgive and forget..but yet the wondering still exist.
  • But this time, I'm sensing a good feeling and the wonders are not as terrified as last time.
  • I still need to learn to control my emotion.
  • Hope to see clearer picture that I'm seeing right now.
  • Istikharah is the best medicine ever.
  • Turn to Allah, and He never let you down. He know what best for you even you don't know it yet.

Pasrah akan ketentuanNya.......

Hidup Adalah Suatu Pertukaran

Alhamdulillah sekarang dah masuk 14 Ramadhan 1430.
My company ada buat daily ceramah around 1pm to 1.30pm which I think is good since as a human, we always forgot, right. And need to be reminded all the times :)

Here's a bit of info that I gained during the ceramah:

1) 4 Tunggak Utama (Akhlak Dalam Pekerjaan)

Since hidup is suatu pertukaran, when we wear our clothes, to make pahala out of it, we need
to dress properly i.e. tutup aurat. Same with our beloved rumah. We can trade it and gain
pahala with happily treat our guests and always sujud to Allah. As for our anak (to whom yang
dah ada one), we can trained them to be soleh and solehah so that they can pray for us
parents.

Hope we will become a true Muslim till the end. Insyaallah. Ameen.

HaHaHAA

Received a forwarded email this morning. Quite funny and creative though.

TEACHER: What's the longest word in the English language ?
Pupil: Smiles - because there is a mile between the first and last letters !

Teacher: What did the frog order at McDonald's?
Pupil: French flies and a diet Croak

Two cows are standing in a field.
One says to the other "Are you worried about Mad Cow Disease?"
The other one says "No, It doesn't worry me, I'm a horse!"

A family of mice were surprised by a big cat.
Father Mouse jumped and said, "Bow-wow!"
The cat ran away.
"What was that, Father?" asked Baby Mouse.
"Well, son, that's why it's important to learn a second language."

Teacher: How much is half of 8?
Pupil: Up and down or across?
Teacher: What do you mean?
Pupil: Well, up and down makes a 3 or across the middle leaves a 0!

Teacher: Why does the statue of liberty stand in New York harbour?
Pupil: Because it can't sit down!

TEACHER: Give me three reasons why the world is round?
Pupil: Well my dad says so, my mum says so and you say so !

Hope those can put a smile on our faces :)

Me? Auntie? Yeay!!

Alhamdulillah.
Recently dapat a very first anak buah.
A niece. Comel. Kalau menangis, puiyoo nyaringnya (ada potensi kenyaringan akan bertambah)
Everyday, sure a new thing yang makcik sorang tu buat.
Kalau dulu suka hisap mitten sendiri if lambat dapat susu, now without anything pun her little mouth boleh sucking. Siap bunyi lagi. Dah macam mulut goldfish pun ade gak.But cute. :)
The best part is masa si ibu having a chat with her, seeming to understand (err..baby umur around two weeks dah boleh faham ke ek?) she threw a wonderful smile at her mom.
But the smile hold for about three second je. Mahal betul cik adik sorang ni nak senyum.
As for me, I love holding her but with her fragile body, I never try to bath her yet. Scary maa.
Kang terjatuh pulak anak kakak. Ngeri2.
Watching her move, act and sleep somehow give me piece in heart n mind.
Yet, kengkadang tu leh gak terfikir. What kind of aunt will I be to her? Strict? Funny? As A Friend? Boring? (waaaa..tanak). Tapi bila terfikir yang betapa matang and mature nya diriku ini (ehem..ehem sure or not). Insyaallah ok kot (sambil lap sikit2 peluh kat dahi).
Ameen"
Love you darling...
