Training & HaRi RaYa AiDiLaDhA

Last week (19th & 20th November 09) I went for a training at SHRDC on "De Bono's Six Thinking Hats". Quite kewl actually. It's about the idea of Parallel Thinking instead of using arguments for decision to be made. For example, last time in our meeting, when someone says something i.e. his idea, there's always someone who would say "no, we can't do that coz its....". So De Bono came out with an idea for less argument yet the maximum result will be achieved by using the methods of six thinking hats. They are:
a) Blue hat - For controlling in setting focus (normally the
chairperson of a meeting)
b) White hat - Information shared
c) Yellow hat - Advantages and its reasons
d) Black hat - Problems and its reasons
e) Red hat - Intuition/Feelings/Emotions
f) Green hat - Ideas
So, in a meeting at a time, only one hat should be used by everyone so that no necesary argument will take place and the meeting could be finished earlier with everyone consents.

There also a Thinking Game in the session that I like. It goes like this:
There are eight people to cross a river using a raft:-
*One Police
*One Prisoner
*A Mother
*A Father
*Two Sons
*Two Daughter
There are conditions too:-
i) Maximum no. of person allowed at a time on the raft is TWO
ii) Only POLICE or A PARENT can OPERATE the raft
iii) MOTHER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with SON/S
iv) FATHER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with DAUGHTER/S
v) PRISONER is NOT ALLOWED to be left ALONE with ANY OF FAMILY MEMBERS
So, what is the sequences/arrangements that enable all the eights to cross the river. Best kan the game? Any one would like to guess? ;)

Another two days dah nak raya. I would like to wish you all Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha. Maaf Zahir Batin. Kalau masih ada yang ingin membuat korban but don't know how and where to go, maybe you would like to check out www.ezqurban.org. They will close the application on 27th (Aidiladha) itself, so we have another two days to participate (via online form on their website). Let's grab the chance guys =)

I have applied for a leave tomorrow. On Thursday, we already been given a force leave. So, altogether it would be five days holiday. Yeay! Hehe. But later sure pening with all the works yang setia menanti..Woohooo...not :(

Esok would take a cab to the airport very early in the morning with ayah. Ayah's flight is at 7am. While mine is at 3pm. There'll be 8 hours for me to spare. Travel between airports plus reading a book plus eat plus shopping n browsing, I think I'll be fine. Hopefully :)

Okies, catch u guys later when I'm back from the long holidays. SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILADHA. Maaf dan halal dipinta, zahir dan batin.
